About Claire Forbes I studied law at Manchester University and thereafter trained and practised as a solicitor specialising in criminal and family law, in legal firms in the Midlands and South of England. I am also an experienced trial advocate and have appeared on behalf of applicants at employment tribunals. In addition to my main discipline of family law, I am also experienced in the full range of civil litigation, including employment law and personal injury. In 2005 I started my own quality mark consultancy, following a 2-year training period with a major quality mark consultancy, Navigator. For firms of solicitors wishing to enlist our services to obtain Lexcel accreditation, my "unique selling point" is my experience of how law firms work in practice. I appreciate that the implementation of new quality mark systems can be a potentially disruptive process. Practicality and sensitivity are therefore important features of my approach. In addition to quality
mark advising, I also advise firms of solicitors on practice
management issues generally, including personnel matters and
employment law. |
